Rain starts pouring down Jakarta and its surrounding areas since last few days. Various preparations for facing it have been done by the government, including the availability of water pump in some pump houses.

We anticipate it with mobile pump. There are 5 pumps, if it needs so, we will alert them

In the pump house at Jalan Madrasah RT 01/12, Bintaro Urban Village, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, there are 2 pumps and 3 sluice gates working well and ready to be operated in rainy season.

"It's just been observed directly by South Jakarta Water Management Sub-Dept to ensure the water pump," said Komarudin, the operator of the pump house, Monday (11/9).

Head of Water Management Sub-Dept, Deddy Budiwidodo said the area around Pesanggrahan River is vulnerable to puddle.

"We anticipate it with mobile pump. There are 5 pumps, if it needs so, we will alert them," he uttered.
